George & Arlene Blood

George & Arlene Blood

George and Arlene began ministry in Dryden NY as pastor of Dryden Baptist Church. They were called from this work to Alaska as church planting missionaries and have successfully planted several churches. Currently they are working as station supply in Alaska, filling in at various missions stations while other missionaries are away. They have served with Baptist Mid-Missions since 1965. Along with their assistant role to the Alaskan field, they are also BMM representatives for the the North American North West.

Fred & Rachel Whitman

In 1973 Fred and Rachel began serving in Italy in a church-planting ministry. After many small home Bible studies, they moved to a small gospel hall. They have been able to broadcast a daily 10 min Gospel telecast which has run for over 10,000 programs. They also are involved in the Christian radio station, Radio Luce. In 1990 a local church was formed and in 2004, they stepped out in faith to move into their own property. The church now has an Italian pastor and the Whitmans continue to serve in it. Fred is the Pastor of Evangelism where he deals with the TV and radio as well as reaches out into neighboring cities. Rachel leads the children’s ministry and works with the women of the church. Their children are also faithfully serving in the area.

Jonathan & Melodee Whitman

The Whitmans find it their life mission to “Equip the Italian Church of the Next Generation to Reach the World for Christ.” Ultimately, they say, “we want people to know the good news that Christ came to pay the penalty for our sins and to give us a dramatically new life in him.” They do this through local church ministry which includes evangelizing, discipline, training, and planting new churches. They are currently serving in the Umbria region of Italy.

Anna Beth Wivell

Anna was saved at a young age and soon after the Lord laid the mission field of Africa on her heart. During Bible college, she grew to enjoy the study of Hebrew and in 2002 during a trip to Zambia, she was led to join Bibles International as a translation consultant. She is currently serving in Chad, Africa where she assists local churches to translate the Bible into their own languages.

Andrew & Itacyara Comings

Andrew Comings, son of former Dryden Baptist Church pastor Harold Comings, heard God’s calling to be a missionary during his teenage years. He visited Brazil several times during these years and ultimately began working and studying at Cariri Baptist Seminary in Brazil where he met Itacyara who was also studying there. He returned to the states to attend Spurgeon Baptist Bible College and after graduation he again returned to Brazil to marry Itacyara. The Comings currently have a church-planting ministry in the city of São Luís, MA.

Continental Baptist Mission:

Tom & Sherrie Logsdon

Tom & Sherrie Logsdon

Tom and his wife, Sherrie, came to know Christ as their Savior in their mid-twenties. After completing his ministry degree, he planted several churches in Western New York. Beginning in 1994, Tom served in administration with Continental Baptist Missions of Rockford, MI. He has served as the Pre-Field Director and as Field Director, overseeing and encouraging the CBM Church Planting ministries. In 2011, he transitioned to full-time missionary pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Cedar Springs, Michigan.
